Doçent Mbarim Xhaba was in this quorum with suspicion. For years we have been taught that a woman becomes only when she reaches 80 percent of schooling, but she must still be kissed for the consolidation of popular power. It is a struggle for today, a struggle for tomorrow. The Party of Labour is strong in organization, strong in unity, strong in politics. This centralism constitutes the first part of the discussions and is an expression of the political emancipation of the working class. All the questions raised do not concern narrow local interests but the general interests of the country. The road to the emancipation of women and youth comes from the development of party life. Our program is progressive; it brings a new spirit. These democratic rights are closely linked to the ideological and political struggle of the Party of Labour. The forms of work must be improved, participation must be increased, political debate must be broadened, and responsibility must grow. The discussions also addressed issues of economic order, ownership, organization, and the defense of the achievements of socialism. The participants expressed their confidence that the Party of Labour would emerge victorious in the elections and that its electoral program answers the interests of the people. Questions were also raised regarding unemployment, the state of the market, improving supply, housing problems, and the role of the basic organizations. The representative from the center especially stressed the need to preserve unity, strengthen discipline, and fight against foreign manifestations. He emphasized that the Party of Labour is not afraid of pluralism, but will face it with arguments, with work, and with the support of the masses. It was underlined that socialist democracy is the broadest democracy for the people and that openness to different opinions does not undermine the party’s class character. At the end, instructions were given for the concretization of the electoral program in every organization and for work with voters in the days remaining until the vote.
