The editorial board and the district journalists’ association met
On Tuesday the responsible board of the newspaper «Koha jonë» and the district journalists’ association met.
It carefully analyzed the fulfillment of the newspaper’s editorial duties, the handling of the problems and current events of life in the district, as well as the effort to ensure that every organ and administration in its own way gives a good portrayal of the district’s economic and cultural problems within the framework of democratic transformations.
The editor-in-chief of the newspaper, comrade Jonë, gave a deep analysis of every minute of the district, of the newspaper’s content and of the party’s security, for qualified information and for the future of the activity. He called for a faster, more cultured and more professionally advanced portrayal of the activity of all institutions and of every citizen.
From the voices that took part in this meeting, which positively գնահատed the work done so far, suggestions and criticisms were also given. It was said that the responsibility of the journalist and of the Party has increased in this new phase, that the Party of Labour program, issues of people’s interest, the work of mass organizations, as well as the activity of basic organizations must be addressed. There is a need for more artistic literature, more attention to ideological and political education, for better use of satire and humor, and for a special role to be given to young people, servicemen and women.

AGRON DIBRA—the Party of Labour candidate for deputy
The elections of 31 March are approaching. Now the names of the candidates are known, and each of them has promises, what he will do and what he aims to achieve.
Agron Dibra is one of the young men of the Party, but quite well known in these parts. Do you know him? Have you seen him? Yes. Looking him in the eye, he looks straight into the pupil of your eye. Why? Because he is honest. He is pure and manly. Why? Because he is one of those people whose whole life is tied to the village, to the land, to work, to sweat, to people.
If he was nominated for deputy, it was not by chance. People have been chosen who deserve it, who are connected to the people’s troubles and concerns. For this he enjoys the respect of the area’s residents.
He was born in 1979[?] and finished secondary school. He works in the agricultural sector. He has stood out for his dedication to work, for fairness, honesty and good communication with people.
In meetings with voters he has expressed that he will firmly defend the interests of the peasantry, will seek solutions for irrigation, drainage, supply and the improvement of living conditions. He considers cooperation and mutual understanding among all forces essential, so that the country may move forward.
The voice of the people will be heard in the Assembly. Votes for the Party of Labour and for candidate Agron Dibra.
WHICH RUDOLF MARKU SHOULD I BELIEVE? The one from the 1980s or the one from Sunday?
WHICH RUDOLF MARKU SHOULD I BELIEVE?
The one from the 1980s or the one from Sunday?
Last Sunday the P.S. branch in Dardani in Shkodër organized a rally with the participation of many young men and women and others. In front of such a crowd of young people, around 5,000 in number, before the chairman of the P.S. spoke, writer Rudolf Marku also came forward with this new and interesting criticism.
Last Sunday in Dardani the P.S. branch organized a large rally. Poet Rudolf Marku had come to speak and to recall that not long ago, some 20 years back, he had kept that student population alive ideologically with his writings, in order to justify the injustices, inequalities and arbitrariness of the past era.
Today he appeared before the young people with a new face, a new vocabulary and a new tone. He tried to convince them that in the past things had supposedly been different, that he had supposedly been mistaken, that he had supposedly been misled. But is that enough?
This Rudolf Marku was the regime’s pampered writer, published in large print runs, honored with prizes and privileges. He was among those who served with their pen to keep the system standing. Now he comes out and tells us that everything had been wrong and that he is on the side of democracy.
Can he be believed? Can the past be forgotten? Can a person be so easily separated from the words he has written, from the positions he has held, from the privileges he has enjoyed?
We are not against people reflecting, changing and understanding their mistakes. But we cannot accept that those who until yesterday sang hymns to the dictatorship are presented as apostles of democracy.
