THE DECEIVERS ARE PRECISELY, IN THE STATE CONTROL COMMISSION

— Çela Publishing attacks the newspaper «Koha jonë» with all its batteries. — At a time when barely a week has passed since the prosecutors made a sensational front-page story in the press and published nothing, then the State Control Commission demands that newspapers be closed down as illegal. «KOHA JONË» is not a newspaper in the style of a “so-called” one, so they are deceiving with a kind of April joke and, at the beginning of the month, they present the facts in a distorted way and direct it to the government. Its style, the type of broadcast and daily news, the trend, the appearances [?] of other news and for a bit of «school» of Loksi. The whole standard presented is a temporary craft of the force of Bajazit bej, prosecutor in the General Prosecutor’s Office of Albania or with satellites. Why does the State Control group not ask itself the question

TIRANA FIRST: THEY STEAL HALF THE COMPANY’S WATER TIME AT THE STATE CONTROL COMMISSION

A few months ago, before the elections set for 22 March, the first government with which it intended to blow, it could even invent, in those circulars and in the “aborative” and annulment classes. Yesterday, under the pretext of responsibilities and of an article in the newspaper "Koha jonë", the government wants to close a newspaper? Of course, it is not the first time that such things happen here. It is enough to recall what was thought of the free press at the beginning of democracy, or what was done to freedom of expression in the years of monism. In any case, if we stop at the concrete part of the accusations raised against the newspaper, it turns out that the accusers have no serious basis, but only one aim: to frighten and strike at critical voices. In fact, it can be seen that the publication in question is trying to create an atmosphere of alarm. Then it tries to provide distorted information, dressing it in the authority of institutions. It is clear that this behavior goes against the new democratic spirit and the elementary right of the public to be informed.

They complain that the publication of the newspaper “Koha Jonë” has been targeted, and that household truths and contradictions are not the truth of our contradiction

. That same gentleman, still honored, has once again been given unjust publicity by the publisher. Is this a special case, and why? Indeed, the article in the newspaper “Koha jonë” of 14 May 1992, on its front page, where suspicious activities and abuses are discussed, has become the object of a harsh reaction. But instead of clarifications, there is an attempt to discredit the newspaper. The public had every right to expect transparency. Because it is not enough simply to level accusations. There must be facts, documents, responsibility. Otherwise, any attempt to silence criticism will prove unsuccessful.

2 REGARDING THE RELATIONS WITH THE “MIHAIL DURI” PRINTING HOUSE, TIRANA

The communiqué on radio “Tirana” says that the circle of accusations has been unreasonable toward the printing house of this institution. In fact, in our relations with the “Mihail Duri” printing house there have been and there are reciprocal obligations, as happens in every economic relationship. Nowhere in this relationship is any claim of favoritism or violation of the law proven. As is also clear from the documentation in the newspaper’s offices, we have requested the settlement of obligations and the resolution of disputes through normal channels. Any other interpretation of this issue has been made with bad intentions and to distort the truth.

IT IS NOT THE OPINION OF THE EDITORS OF THE DEPARTMENT VASKINI SHAHIN AND YMER STANI...

As well as the radio itself “Koha” that the printing house “Mihail Duri” has difficulties in publishing the newspaper. This does not prevent the truth from coming to light. No one can deny that pressures were exerted and unfair methods were used to prevent the newspaper from coming out. We have faced these difficulties and continued our work. Writings and public reactions cannot replace facts. Anyone who tries to manipulate public opinion will face failure. The truth, however delayed, will come out into the open.
