Albania is today in the most difficult situation. Parliament is out of function.
Albanians today are more passive than ever. From within the country there is the danger of war between parties and clans; from outside, the danger of a Serbian attack.
President Berisha has never given up for himself; now, at the time when he should speak, he is silent.
— IN THE SWISS PRESS PRESIDENT BERISHA DECLARES THAT “THE SITUATION IS MUCH MORE DIFFICULT THAN WE THOUGHT, MUCH WORSE,” (LA SUISSE), WHILE IN THE FRENCH PRESS HE DECLARES: “BRODAY AND THE MONUMENT TO THE DISAPPEARED IN MASSABRË MASSIVE” (LE MONDE, 29 APRIL 1993). — WHILE BEFORE THE ALBANIAN DOMESTIC PUBLIC, THE PRESIDENT DOES NOT RECOGNIZE ANYTHING AT ALL, WHAT WILL THE ALBANIANS DO AT THIS MOMENT? Let us not wait for tomorrow- tomorrow when we may be with whom, because today. IF WE WERE TO WAIT NOW FOR TOMORROW, WE CANNOT DO WHAT WE CAN DO TODAY, TODAY WE CAN UNDERSTAND PAONI IF TOMORROW, TODAY WE CAN PAILLAMENT FOR US TODAY WE CAN CHANGE THE CLONES OF THE STATE AND IRMAI OURSELVES INTO OUR OWN HANDS, YET.
What is happening to Albania
1. DO WE HAVE A PARLIAMENT?
1 . DO WE HAVE A PARLIAMENT? Under the current conditions of the Albanian Parliament, it cannot meet, it cannot discuss, and it cannot decide; this means that it has ceased to function, however much it may be said by the Council that the time for renewal has not yet come. This can be justified: elections have truly come if a state must have a parliament. 2 . WILL THE CORRUPTION REPRESENTATION BE RESOLVED? To solve this riddle, three insurmountable obstacles emerge: The first: the total paralysis of today’s officials. The second: the game of parliamentary maneuvering, which shifts between the two sides. Today the democrats accuse the socialists and tomorrow the socialists will accuse the democrats. Because there are many voices saying that today’s officials are more corrupt than the previous ones. But both will keep the secret. 3. WILL ALBANIA BE DRAWN INTO A THWARTED WAR? From the President’s statements we have learned that Kosovo has reached moments without Bensafs. But Bosnia is finishing. Meanwhile, Albania worldwide presents an immediate danger to Albania. What are Albania’s leaders doing? They stand as if it were not a matter concerning us, the Albanians of Albania. Only interests. — No. The journalist of the newspaper “Koha Jonë”, on 3 May, the International Day of Press Freedom, writes to the International Federation of Journalists (Read on page 3) (Read on page 29)
