The interior minister has not received a vote of confidence in Parliament, while four of them are in Europe. Albania will not intervene in the conflict in Kosovo. During an official visit to Warsaw, the Albanian foreign prime minister, Mr. Alfred Serreqi, declared: "If the situation in Kosovo worsens, there will be no intervention on the part of Albania. Our aim is that the Balkans should not be drawn into the fires of war, because that would have very harmful consequences also for the Albanian people." Some time after these statements, Mr. Serreqi, also in Washington, stopped and among other things said that the Albanian government would understand if they intervened in Kosovo. These words increasingly endanger the stance of our public policy every day. For people who closely follow our foreign policy, this statement, made over the course of several days, contains a sudden change, but ordinary people have been left confused by this event. In this context we ask: is there a clear political line for Kosovo, or in the way it is expressed publicly, do one unclear formulation follow another? KOHË JONË

In recent days, several refugees who had fled to Germany after 2 July 1990 arrived in Albania.
