Interior Minister A. Musaraj implicated in the Shkodër incident

SHKODËR The Minister of the Interior, Agron Musaraj, and the head of SHIK in Shkodër, Firim Meta, asked me to make it fit the brother of Selim Çelot in order to justify the tragic killing of Gjovalin Çekini I, Skënder Çelaj, former deputy head of the police station in Malki, headman in the village of Drisht, hereby declare, through this request addressed to President Ramiz Alia, the speaker of parliament Pjetër Arbnori, Prime Minister Aleksandër Meksi, Minister of Justice Spartak Ngjela, that on March 22, at the end of a speech at the Malki Public Front meeting, my brother Selim Çelaj and I left the hall because we were getting bored and went home. In front of the soldier from the local command, we walked along the road when on the right side, in front of the school, there was a white car. Inside it was the brother of Gjovalin Çekini. While we were walking, the vehicle moved closer to me. However, I signaled to my comrade that he was probably laughing at us. He has it in for SHIK employees. We thought they were approaching to execute us. Then we learned that Gjovalin Çekini had informed them and on 27.3.94 had gone to Shkodër. On this occasion, he made it known to the government leaders and to SHIK that Malki was trying to have Selim Çelaj framed, in order to justify the tragic killing of Gjovalin Çekini.
