Just like in the movies, yesterday at around 1:30 p.m., two armed individuals—one of them even wearing a wig—with automatic weapons and pistols entered the offices of SWISSAIR, guarded by unarmed civilian guards from the EUROPOL GUARDIA company. In the presence of around 17 people who happened to be there at the time, they carried out the usual ritual of armed robbery, threatening them with their weapons. They forced the female employees to hand over the dollars in the cash register and those in the safe. After this, they calmly left in a car waiting for them downstairs. The value of the stolen dollars is not yet known, but whatever the amount, it is clear that this was a large-scale robbery. We recall on this occasion that on that Friday in December 1993, thieves stole 17,000 dollars from this airline company’s cash register. Six months have passed since then, and the thieves, along with the stolen money, have still not been found. Nevertheless, SWISSAIR employees say that the criminal police from Precinct No. 3 and the Investigation Department came to the scene immediately this time as well and conducted a search. Who could carry out a robbery so easily in broad daylight and in the middle of Tirana, other than thieves who are sure to get away with it?! Let us not forget: on the same street, at locations no more than 200 metres apart, and at around 1–2 p.m., three armed robberies have taken place—SWISSAIR twice and the savings bank once! And let us not forget again: in all three cases, the perpetrators have still not been caught. The police authorities continue to search for them. Perhaps they will be caught if they rob SWISSAIR on the anniversary of the first robbery and six months after the second...
