Two disabled infants who are cared for at this mission and sleep in the same bed were engulfed in flames. The alarm was raised immediately. After they were burned, the mission building too was engulfed in chaos and horror among the mission staff and those present. Police officers and ambulances arrived immediately afterward, but it was too late. Only the bed, with the victims' burned bodies, was brought outside; there was nothing else there. We approached the mission staff, but, overcome by the horror they had experienced, they were unable to tell us anything in particular. Half an hour after the incident, we saw the mission members, horrified, amid screams and sobs, and the lights still had not come back on. However, other, more capable people point out that the fire may have been caused by a candle falling onto the bed where the two children were sleeping.
