A concert of politicians at the “Rogner”
The Bavarian parliament speaker is welcomed with song
The Spahija-Godo folk coalition
is broken up by Dokle’s intervention
Ali Spahija, the deputy chairman of the PD, “entertained” President of the Bavarian Parliament Johann Bohm quite a bit yesterday when, in the presence of other members of the German delegation and leaders of the Albanian political parties, at the “Rogner” hotel, he began singing a song from southern Albania. The Albanian right responded to Spahija’s voice with the drone of Republican leader Godo, who later, together with Spahija, became somewhat “cornered” when their duet was joined from the left by the voice of socialist Namik Dokle. But the Spahija-Godo-Dokle trio did not work for long, because the two gentlemen abruptly interrupted the folk coalition with comrade Dokle. Dokle’s intervention in the Spahija-Godo duet seems to have been as unexpected as it was unacceptable, and moreover was considered a serious provocation in front of foreigners.
Meanwhile, it is not known what the song was, and even less is known about the menu of food and the mixture of drinks that must have caused merriment among the Albanian politicians. What is known for certain is that during the singing the members of the German delegation looked each other in the eye several times and ordered sparkling water for the whole table.

Dokle: We steal, the world doesn’t see us
Speaking on behalf of his parliamentary group, Dokle said that the government’s “seal,” together with the world, has degenerated into the practice of “we steal, the world doesn’t see us.”
“How can that kind of administration be called serious,” Dokle continued, “which, for the sale of weapons as far as Afghanistan, replies: ‘We gave them to private firms!’ Further on, mentioning some of the measures to stop smuggling, he said that one of the measures was the fact that the PD removed five deputies from the management staff of the company “Shqiponja,” who were criminalizing it. You have blocked a firm’s return of 1.5 million dollars, seized by the financial authorities, but which a court wants to return to it. And this is the hidden matter of the Court of Appeals led by P[e]l Martini, the man who is building a villa, not only beautiful but also stronger than the Shah of Iran’s, because his basement is lined with lead tiles.
