“The court should declare unconstitutional the manipulations and blackmail carried out by the SHIK body.”
Yesterday, in the premises of the headquarters of the Presidency of PBDNJ, the declaration of the second secretary of this political party, Shaqir Koçollari, was made public. In it he voices a complaint against the unlawful procedure involving 9 members of the CEC, led by Sabri Godo, who declared invalid the ballot papers marked with a cross made across them. This declaration accuses the members of the CEC, who according to Koçollari carried out an unlawful act in order to falsify the election results. According to this declaration, despite the Constitutional Court's refusal to give an opinion on this type of ballot paper, and despite the recommendations of the Council of Europe to respect the principles of law that an impermissible action must be followed by a permitted one, yesterday on the Parliament's agenda was the request for approval of the 9 members of the CEC. For this reason, the chairman of PBDNJ, Vasil Melo, filed a lawsuit in the Constitutional Court against this institution for violations of parliamentary procedures. PBDNJ's request is that the parliamentary procedures by which the 9 new members of the CEC took effect be declared unconstitutional and ineffective. If the Constitutional Court issues a decision in favor of this political party, then the Parliament's decision approving the 9 members of the CEC will automatically be invalidated. This would create a legal precedent, according to which the elections themselves would also be deemed unconstitutional. Vasil Melo has stated that despite Parliament's approval of the 9 members of the CEC, the doors for cooperation with the PD remain open, but only for discussing the electoral result and not for new coalitions with the right. At the end of his statement, the second secretary of PBDNJ, Shaqir Koçollari, emphasized that the request to the Constitutional Court is expected to be submitted together with the decision of the parliamentary group of PBDNJ, which will cooperate only with the left.
