Albanians recount the protest

A few weeks ago Albanians had been on strike. Workers from the independent unions organized themselves and united in the unions of state unionists en masse. All this was happening amid a considerable disregard for university students and workers from the state enterprises of the Independent Student Council. BSP sources said there would be a paralysis of the state sector amid the deadline and the media wrote that in schools and in the statements of officials it was acknowledged that in some faculties in Tirana there is no teaching. It is also learned that the students in the districts have suspended their strike for today. In Shkodër, Lushnjë, Korçë, Berat, Gjirokastër, Vlorë, Elbasan, Prrenjas and others, local branches of the SP. The coordinator and the union within the district took in a comprehensive way to meet work and school. Apart from the customs college in Tirana, where teaching has been left aside in public classes, the public service has functioning editorial work. The strike organizers already have the motive for the demonstrations to be opponents of the Albanians’ move against the courts and they appear to suggest that the whole country may have the opportunity to rise up against state injustice. What should be spoken of first against the PD after an election, and which beyond today’s efforts is not a shame against and as such. On 20 October, the opposition was clerically equipped by the broader power left and gave and sent. In this time, students and other professions are on strike, as are the artists and councils until then. This situation also put the unions before a side of the country, which had the whole bloc for the freedom of its organizations. The protests began on 7 January, turning into everything requested in successive stances. Their demands were also conveyed significantly for all sectors. Some of them had to do with improving living conditions and, in general, with a clear perspective for the country’s future. Koha Jonë and the students have denounced and the students’ protest and the citizens’ protest. Strike unions and structures have also been created in other cities such as Durrës, Kavajë, Fier, Lezhë and Krujë. The protest has spread further to avoid interventions by the local authorities and to protect the right to protest. In some cities there have also been clashes with the police, but the organizers have called for calm and the avoidance of provocations. For Reuters
