Berisha, today is the day to leave
Stiliti Kotiçike on the eve of the elections: Commissioners and ballots are missing, delays throughout Albania
Let us vote to save ourselves
When on 29 June the first shadow of the left-wing parties begins, now the provisional government, the possibilities are facing a clear alternative with a historic chance for Albanians, through their vote to remove from power a ruling caste that has completely failed in Albanian history. For 7–8 years, in 1991–92, Albanians were promised salvation from the communist regime through the “rule of law,” but in reality only a new regime emerged. Since taking power, Berisha has turned the country into a prison. He has destroyed the army and the police, built the state on terror and fear, and manipulated Albanians’ vote as he pleased.
To hide the total bankruptcy, he has killed hundreds of Albanians who came out unarmed, in broad daylight in the middle of Tirana, [illegible word?], throughout Albania. He has beaten and imprisoned thousands more, while thoroughly destroying the state. He has used the entire state machinery to forcibly drive out of Albania anyone who could have been against him. He, who in the elections of 26 May trampled the ballot papers with tanks, and those he did not like ended up being burned over the mountains of Albania.
This country [illegible word?] chose salvation four months ago, just as it did in 1996; Albanians decided [illegible word?] that never before had Albania been so close to the road to destruction. And that only their departure could mark the beginning of a new era so that the country could find [illegible word?] once again the end of this nightmare. The main handicap on the road to salvation remained that of the force of action, as an alternative that could if not risk being overcome. And that this was solved with organization and [illegible word?] of the pickaxe. The victory of the coalition — made up of 13 parties and behind it [illegible word?] for Albania — has its origin in the moment when [illegible word?] to [illegible word?].
But to win sympathy in the party [illegible word?], which was left without [illegible word?]. Kaska is just as [illegible word?]. But few Albanians are with that [illegible word?]. To [illegible word?] with [illegible word?] should not [illegible word?], by [illegible word?]. In this [illegible word?] it has been handed over [illegible word?] with tendencies [illegible word?]. Kaska [illegible word?] and [illegible word?]. The hopes of [illegible word?] are quite good because the Albanians who [illegible word?] this [illegible word?].
For [illegible word?] it should [illegible word?] to be [illegible word?] short [illegible word?] and [illegible word?]. The votes of [illegible word?], of [illegible word?] [illegible word?], [illegible word?] with [illegible word?] and [illegible word?] must [illegible word?] for the high [illegible word?] [illegible word?] [illegible word?].
