Smuggling, joke or crime

BY EMIN BAXÇI Smuggling itself continues to be talked about, despite the fact that the state saw it as a “joke” a week ago. Perhaps the Albanian prosecutors are the only ones in a state where the policemen were bound up by paramilitaries with a “No smoking” sign. Instead of arresting Albanian smugglers, with tears in their eyes and no more strength, they stood there helplessly. The goods are worth nearly 2 billion qindarka. The tears, the washing, the houses and the interior, and within 48 hours it has reached the customs branches, the gangs and some roads. But it is still not clear what crimes they committed and whether they were sent to prison as more dangerous than ordinary criminals. Auctions, some quarrels, missing money and clear smuggling. No one gives an account of whether there are responsible people or not. The gathering in some district, then, is a picture of affiliations or a court with the charge of “collaboration in crime”. When smuggled goods are seized, the court collects the vehicle, the smuggling owner, the tearful one who “kept watch”, the driver who should be sued and, at the very least, while the goods receiver in Tirana remains there. In an afternoon meeting, the “truck” is understood by the few, still not punished at all by the authorities to this day, to be found finished in the customs branches in order to be brought to auction. Perhaps one day the “big” smuggler will be found, who supplies a list of customs warehouses in Albania. Or will this war against “cigarettes” and “trucks” continue this summer too, delayed? Clearly, Albania’s smuggling is only of value if it is blocking Turkish products [??], but so far smuggling has not been crushed. To understand these days, smugglers move up and down with the same freedom as before. Measures taken against smuggling traffickers Anti-speedboat operations begin All vessels are registered. Those that are confiscated will be closed those that are confiscated those that are confiscated[?]
