The teams from Kosovo’s age groups and from the new Albania constitute such a case. That is the first point. Until these days, matches have been held within the framework of competitions and sporting meetings in the USA, and we have learned of a large number of Albanians seeking political asylum. In most cases, these are young people, footballers, athletes, and their family members. Kosovo continues to be a wound that is not healing. In this issue there are also 600 young Albanians who came to Finland for a sporting event. Now some of them have decided not to return. We can say that this is a repeat of Bosnia in Kosovo. Instead of talking about sport and matches, the news becomes political asylum. Instead of the result, departure becomes important. One of these matches is taking place in another stadium, in the stadium of embassies and immigration offices. As for the Kosovo issue, international opinion cannot continue to close its eyes. On the other hand, the mass departure of Albanian athletes is a clear sign of the severe situation. Kosovo, held under repression and threat, is losing not only its peace but also its youth.
