Parliament will work only in special sessions until the situation is resolved. This means that the plenary session scheduled for Monday will be postponed. The Presidency of the Assembly has decided to meet and discuss the situation that has arisen. There is no set agenda; the date of the session for the handing over of the mandate may just as well be discussed. All this week, behind closed doors, a debate with the party structures in the districts is taking place at the headquarters of the Socialist Party. The participation of ministers and government officials in these debates is considerable.
The virus of the West
BY CARLO BOLLINO
DIRECTOR OF "GAZETA SHQIPTARE"
Albania is showing a frightening virus similar to pneumonia. Western-ocracy. No one has been able to diagnose it so far, nor even the remedy that would save it through disease experiments. There is no doctor who has not been alarmed in defining the illness. This is no surprise, perhaps because this disease is dragging on, becoming more and more severe every day in Albania.
If Western-ocracy is an illness, one of a single person, the guilty one would be undetectable or agreeable. Otherwise, naturally, it is on the level of the powerful, just as honest. Without many doubts, it is this tangled mask of our action that puts the supposedly agreeable on their feet. Western-ocracy, which is a different form of democracy and planned throughout the infrastructure of its plurality, will reveal the problems of the public interest in favor of the interest of a group of people and will give a name to an organization called OJSF. But being the greatest force of dictatorship and of discrimination against the ordinary citizen can be denounced through the newspaper’s stance and through the work of some laboratory in medicine.
The governments of Fatos Nano and Ing Rushit are engaged in a death race. The governments of Fatos Nano and Ing Rushit are engaged in a death race. The opposition is a beautiful weapon, but so beautiful that the government’s contradictory governing courage under Nano can become a pretext for a withdrawn surrogate. Since Western-ocracy is a virus that one day will also take democracy, if certain conditions are not established, it may leave Albania on favorable ground for an outbreak with another regime’s government.
The translation of this Albanian symbolism is essential, but perhaps we have understood it so far. The opposition gives this crisis more weight and in this case it can be called, ironically, more than ever. On the contrary, the virus of the West is also the virus of our time, of a society disoriented and unable to fight the symptoms of this disease.
