“JUDGES, DO NOT RELEASE ZANI”
Chief Prosecutor Rakipi says:
Zani Caushi part of the Prosecutor’s Office. He speaks from Gjilan... [?]
Zani Caushi is part of the Prosecutor’s Office. The answer: “Release me...”
Zani Caushi has threatened the Prosecutor’s Office with death. Last night a delegation of his family members went to the General Prosecutor’s Office. It has not yet been established with certainty who was with them. The delegation told the Prosecutor’s Office that failing to take measures against Zani would lead to destabilization of the country. Immediately after the talks with the family, before escorting them away, Chief Prosecutor Hana, before escorting them away, drew the attention of the Vlora prosecutors. The greatest responsibility for the measures taken against Prosecutor Hana lies directly with prosecutor Xhevat Hana. Although the punitive measure against prosecutor Hana has been set aside as well, according to sources close to this prosecutor’s office, on Monday prosecutor Hana must urgently leave for Italy. He will stay there. It is likely he will no longer receive any more files. He has accused the defendant of threatening the General Prosecutor’s Office. According to sources from the Tirana Prosecutor’s Office, the failure to release the case file has been done so that evidence in Albania cannot be collected.
Kupola, despite the deadlock concerning possession of a weapon and accusations of currency exchange, had been accused only of fraud. Before presenting the boy to the head of the prosecution, Hana told him that the boy should be brought before Xhevat Hana, because he had been sent urgently. Has such a thing ever happened? If this is a fraud, in such cases the common decision had been different from the charges, while this body has an order regarding possession of the file; if it were taken? As for what was declared yesterday in the hearing on Hana’s release, one was in Gjilan, getting acquainted with the accused’s relatives. Is the accused’s son the son of the chief? The General Prosecutor Hana urgently interrupted?[?] the resolution and sent Hana a telegram informing the prosecutor of the Court of Appeal, asking him not to refuse the prison measure and not to respect temporarily his release on the specified date.
This is the biggest clash between the Prosecutor’s Office and the Court regarding the determination of measures against serious charges. It seems that only after a few hours, with calm and changes in composition, the collegial body runs out, since this body in some way has expressed itself about the value of the evidence and has not insisted on the release decision and with a? calm common approach developed with the plaintiffs.
