The bloody day

Why one man killed and six were wounded within a single day across Albania The bloody day Sources from the Ministry of Public Order and SHIK signal that a mini-uprising is being prepared for the end of August or the beginning of September, which will erupt violently The neutralization of Nano and Berisha Leaders of the Albanian police have gone on alert after the latest attacks, as well as threats that the country will be destabilized at a moment highly favorable for the end of the war in Kosovo. For days, the main figures of Albanian politics, Fatos Nano and Sali Berisha, have been staying away from politics. Fatos Nano remains hidden in a private residence, which is kept in seclusion and under police guard, while former president Berisha continues to remain under the tightest security perimeter. To this day, these leaders have not even been able to meet each other for three political occasions. Most likely these important political figures have since not carried this out; they are not there, and the Tirana police are convinced that a broad meeting of PDS representatives will be held and will continue to involve the Albanian right in the lineup or in attempts to destabilize the country. These days, through channels monitored by the police, the decision has spread to take to the streets in protest next week. It is then expected that the rebels will attack several key points and gather within a short time. Some of those involved in these plans will be armed with weapons and heavy equipment. On the part of the Tirana police, a plan with clear elements of counteraction has been adopted in case the situation escalates. At the same time, the Tirana police have identified various elements believed to be involved in organizing violent protests. According to sources, recent meetings have mentioned several areas where incidents could arise, while unusual movements have also been observed in certain circles. Public order structures have been placed on high alert. pages 8-9

It gives $300 million for Kosovo

$1.5 billion is expected to be invested in Albania From highly reliable government sources, it is being concluded that today in Tirana a donors' meeting will be held, in which the Prime Minister of Kosovo, who is also the interim officeholder in charge today, will take part. It is also understood that, within government circles at the highest level, the possibility of stimulating investment in Albania is being discussed, in order to create more favorable economic conditions for the country. Representatives of international institutions and friendly governments are expected to attend the meeting, while most of the funds are thought to be directed toward reconstruction and infrastructure improvement. According to initial information, part of the financing will be channeled into strategic projects in the energy, road and housing sectors. Part of the aid will pass through special mechanisms that will ensure transparency in the use of funds. Our country hopes that through this new financial package it will also create new opportunities for employment and the encouragement of private investment. In conclusion, the sources underline that this aid package is expected to have a significant impact both on economic recovery and on the overall stabilization of the region. page 11
