In the corridors of the administration, the idea circulated that all employees of Saranda Customs should be dismissed. There is a whole network of people who have taken hold here, passing through unnoticed. The problem was unlocked when customs officials finally admitted that favors were being granted. It did not end there. During the last week, the tightening of control over Saranda also included the anti-smuggling sector. According to customs sources, it was necessary to answer at all costs where the shipment had come from. Today it is better understood why. A part of the chain that enabled the crossing was struck. Prime Minister Meta has announced that he will not stop there. There is now talk of asset checks for all employees, how they acquired their assets, and then a complaint to the prosecutor's office. Yesterday it was also announced that the former deputy director of anti-smuggling, Arben Bajraktari, would be prosecuted.
