Serbia in the OSCE, a knife in Kosovo’s back
The Albanian ambassador to the OSCE, Roland Bimo, votes unconditionally in favor of Yugoslavia
Nano: We are in the year 2000 and we cannot move ahead with Enver Hoxha’s exclusionary logic
Kosovo unrepresented
They looked at it as if it were passing in silence, but it could not escape; it was learned by all news agencies and is being commented on in many high circles that Albania’s vote for Yugoslavia’s return, with insistence from the guests’ and observers’ section, was something more than that.
They looked at it as if it were passing in silence, but it could not escape; it was learned by all news agencies and is being commented on, with insistence from the section of the main guests and observers, with the full conviction that it was an irresponsible underestimation for the state closest to Kosovo to do such a thing. The vote in favor of Serbia’s membership in the OSCE—after 9 years of exclusion, mainly from prior experience until the sabotage work of the regime from the Serbian side was not disciplined and completely improved.
After this, at first Albania appeared not at all determined. Shortly afterward our ambassador voted yes. Our envoy to Vienna at the OSCE did the same. Today, 5 weeks after the official opening of the Kosovo Assembly, the Albanian government chose to focus on the opposite side. Albania thus referred the only state with state rights, Kosovo, and gave Belgrade the opportunity to return with no guarantees, including the return of Kosovo in Kosovo as a party with full rights.
In Mr. President’s report, according to the many comments of domestic and foreign media, the strength of the Albanian delegation was, in this regard, in confrontation with the game of reserved objections, which was accepted with a firm voice. Consequently, this Albanian action provoked harsh reactions. Diplomatic circles say that with Yugoslavia’s return to the OSCE there was no condition for Kosovo’s representation. Albania thus treated Kosovo as an inseparable part of Serbia.
This latter issue appears to be the main concern of Kosovo circles as, while efforts are being made to advance Kosovo’s status, instead of such an approach the decision was made that from Tirana a green light was given to Belgrade.

DECLARATION
of the National Association of Radio and Television Stations
On Sunday, 8:00–9:00 p.m., all radio and television stations will interrupt broadcasting as a sign of protest
The National Association of Radio and Television Stations (SHKRT), which is made up of 76 radio-television stations (a figure confirmed by the Parliamentary Media Commission and the KKKT), as well as a considerable part of the printed media and the most popular in the country, considers the punishment of local operators 19-30, backed by decision no. 8410 dated 30.09.1999, to be an unprecedented and serious act.
We support the private electronic and printed media as anti-corruption, as the elite and as an information transformer with high responsibility. These public institutions. Also as a punishable and parallel law, the other fact is that the tariff set by the KKKT, despite contrary arguments, is still operative and unjustly high.
We ask the Parliamentary Media Commission to inform public institutions regarding the beginning of the implementation of obligations related to licenses. This request, ignored until now, as well as by the KKKT and the decisions [regarding] the same subject, is undoubtedly a serious violation of law no. 8410 dated 30.09.1999.
We request the amendments made to the KKKT[?] decisions on public information. The doubly weak beginning of the deadline for the new law, as well as by the KKKT, are a flagrant discrimination against private local radio.
The action to be used by the radio and television stations for the protest on 19.11.2000, from 20:30 to 21:00.
