Which Albania will we vote for?

The last day before 31 March 1991 is at the same time a day of reflection and calm. In a certain sense, it is the day of the great question: which Albania will we vote for? This question becomes even more pressing if we bear in mind that during the election campaign different political forces, organizations and individuals have put forward different alternatives for the future of the country. Supporters of the Democratic Party and of political pluralism are clear that they are voting for a free and democratic Albania, where people can feel free, where fundamental rights and freedoms are respected, where power comes from the free vote, where the law is equal for everyone. We vote for an Albania that emerges from poverty, isolation, fear and the rule of a single party. We vote for a rule-of-law state, for a market economy, for private property, for free initiative and for openness to Europe. The Albania we want cannot be built on violence, on deceit, on pressure on voters, on intimidation or on manipulation. It must be built on consensus, on civility and on political honesty. The free vote of 31 March is an act of national responsibility. It will determine not only the composition of the Assembly, but the historical direction of Albania for the years to come. So let us vote for an Albania where our children have a future, where young people do not leave, where the countryside and the cities are rebuilt, and where human dignity is the foundation of social life.

(Could it be that we are making dirty politics with PP and PPSH?)
