PS slander: The Democratic Party in total crisis?? The tide of accusations from the Socialist Party damaged its propaganda even at a time when the country is facing major economic and social problems. In its reactions, this political force continues to spread insinuations and fabrications against the Democratic Party and the institutions of the state. Instead of offering real alternatives to solve the crisis, the Socialist Party tries to profit politically through slander and insinuations. Albanian citizens are now clear about the obstructive role this party has played during the transition. (To be continued on page 3)

President of the Republic Sali Berisha received Mother Teresa She expressed her feelings and concerns regarding the humanitarian mission she is carrying out and her activities in Albania. President Berisha thanked Mother Teresa, saying that through her dedication to human ideals and her broad-ranging activity in Albania she is directly helping to relieve suffering and improve the living conditions of many people in need. President Berisha told her that the Albanian government, through its central and local bodies, would create every opportunity to support her in her sacred mission. Mother Teresa thanked him for the warm reception, saying that she had come to serve all Albanians without distinction of faith or ideology. Through raised tones and public accusations he seeks to create the impression of a wounded force that is trying to survive through demagoguery. Instead of arguments, Mr. Ceka often uses a pathetic and dismissive language toward democratic processes, without giving answers about his own role at key moments.
