Albania has made a great leap forward

Interview with Mr. Xhindasy given on TV Recall two years ago at the country's summit when major political changes took place. Today's Albania has entered a new phase of development and is trying to cope with the consequences of a heavy economic and institutional legacy. ALBANIA WILL CONTINUE THE REFORM RESOLUTELY

- All the difficulties have been overcome - TIRANA, 8 (ATSH) - Prime Minister Aleksandër Meksi said today that Albania is continuing the path of reforms resolutely. Asked at a press conference about the possibility that the change in the government team might weaken the country's reformist will, Mr. Meksi replied that the reshuffle in the government “has been made to strengthen the governing team, not to weaken it.” He said that the first and greatest difficulties of the economic reform have been overcome. “We have no reason to fear the future. We have gone through the most difficult phase,” he said. The Prime Minister pointed out that the reform will continue at a rapid pace in all fields.

Mr. Berisha stressed that the Albanian people need help and support during this difficult period, while Mr. Baker praised the progress made and said that the United States will continue to stand by Albania. The conference emphasized the importance of stability, economic aid, and political support for the country.

The Albanian parliamentary delegation completed its work

Therefore, it is clear to us that the funds for aid will be directed in the most efficient way possible. Members of the Albanian parliamentary delegation held important meetings and assessed the support being given to the democratic process in the country. During these contacts, issues of interparliamentary cooperation, the consolidation of institutions, and the role of the opposition and the majority in political life were also discussed.
