A harsher punishment against those who damage and obstruct the activity of the tax administration and the financial police. It would also give an urgent character to the depoliticization of public property. Trade and urban and interurban transport were discussed. Some of the central and local institutions said that the country's processing capacities and managerial and human skills should be better used. At a broader meeting with the mayors of municipalities and communes, as well as the district prefects, problems that are greatly troubling the daily lives of citizens were discussed. It was emphasized that the focus should be on supply, transport, municipal services, housing, and the protection of vulnerable groups. There was talk of more effective intervention by local government in resolving social conflicts, of closer cooperation with law enforcement bodies and economic structures, as well as of a more orderly management of financial resources. It was requested that problems be addressed with realism and institutional responsibility.
