Meeting of President Berisha with the Ambassador of the Russian Federation in Albania, Mr. Nerubajllo In the conversation between the President and the Russian ambassador, the bilateral relations between Albania and the Russian Federation were addressed, as well as current problems in our region and beyond. President Berisha stated that free elections in Albania and the victory of democratic forces have created new conditions for the development of relations with all countries. He emphasized that Albania is interested in developing cooperation with Russia in all fields of mutual interest. For his part, Ambassador Nerubajllo praised the democratic changes in Albania and expressed his country’s readiness to expand cooperation. At the meeting it was emphasized that the success of democratic reforms in Russia is important not only for that country, but for all of Europe. Developments in the region and the need for stability were also discussed.
