People who see their own suffering
Ana Jane Stuhm, because to hide oneself, and work then heats up what...[?]
Here[?] to describe you but no one, it seems to have the sharp stench of an unclean environment. Usually these kinds of people move along the streets of Tirana with a sack over their shoulder, collecting cans, scrap metal and discarded things. Exhausted, unshaven, in old clothes, they live on the edge of survival.
In European countries these people are sheltered in hostels and social centers. In our country, apart from occasional pity, they have almost nothing. For many of them, winter is the cruelest season.
The future game for these unfortunates remains unclear. Who are they? Where do they come from? What has brought them to this condition? Some say they are ill, others that they have been driven out by their families, still others that they are lost in the shocks of the transition.
You often see them near markets, trash bins, and bus stations. Some sleep in apartment entrances, others in abandoned warehouses. On their faces can be read an old fatigue that does not disappear even when someone gives them a piece of bread.
The problem is not only human. It is social. Help for them cannot remain only an initiative of individuals. An organized response is needed.

Only the tip of the iceberg
FROM THE DEEDS OF THE FORMER BLOCKMEN
In the version published today by the newspaper “Rilindja Demokratike” about the killing of Colonel Ahmet Krasniqi, the order for his elimination is presented as having been issued on 15.1.1993, only after news of the killing had already become public.
A “Mercedes 300” Benz (special bulletproof) exchanged for a “Range Rover” belonging to the Socialist Party headquarters car, in order to obtain 50,000 SELI (special bulletproof), are only some of those “feats” uncovered by the top leadership of the former Block.
The conscious admiration has no document, but it has at least brought to light quite vividly the ugly handling of a “Mercedes” vehicle, for which customs duties and VAT, and not a small amount of money, were paid in full, with all the consequences by other persons. (transport and customs clearance receipts) through which not only major losses occur to the budget, but also similar property belonging to certain individuals.
Further on, official documents give detailed weight to the Benz “Mercedes” with foreign license plates, as well as to the buyer. It was brought to Tirana by the transport company. There it was rented for 7,000 dollars, but to another buyer, since the money had not been recorded. According to these official documents, all taxes were also avoided for the bulletproof Benz and the “Range Rover”, both with foreign license plates.
From the investigations so far, it emerged that the driver of the vehicle had connections with well-known names from the former Block. The newspaper will continue publishing the documents in upcoming issues.
