THE “OPERATION OF THE DIMIT” OF SH. F. NANO CONTINUES

Sh. Fatos Nano: The world should close its doors, Albanians should show their backs Sh. Fatos Nano: The world should close its doors, Albanians should show their backs - Nano, the Enverist, puts Enver's Bush at the heart On Tuesday, the American President sent a letter to the President of the PS parliamentary group, Fatos Nano, asking him to distance himself from the violence used during the rally of the Socialist opposition. Regarding this, yesterday, in “Zëri i Popullit”, Fatos Nano responded to the President of the USA, declaring, among other things: SE PALI “...We are not trying to escape the figures and the truth by remaining silent about the blood and backs of our people, about the left and the right, about the living and the dead... SE DITI “...In the name of historical truth, we cannot accept the claim that the Albanian people have supposedly suffered for 50 years and not us, who supposedly ruled them...” SE TËTI “...The world is closing its doors on us, while Albanians should show their backs...” NANO presents three events, the representatives of which met the atheist communist Nano as a representative of the opposition: 1) two ambassadors with the observer of the Islamic Conference and representatives of 6-7 lending financial institutions; 2) the OSCE's top envoy, Ambassador H. Kejdi [?]; 3) several other diplomats. But does the American president speak clearly in the letter sent to Mr. Fatos Nano? We publish it in full: “Mr. chairman of the socialist party I had the opportunity to read a copy of your recent statement against the actions of the current president. The remnants of violence used in these days against the government and the law-enforcement bodies have caused serious concern for our administration and not only for it. America supports the stability and democratic progress of Albania, and we wish your country's political forces to respect the rules of the democratic game. Positions that incite clashes and the use of force represent the wrong path. I expect the force you represent to clearly distance itself from any such action.” (Continues on page 4)

“Alternativa SD” in defense of corruption

“Alternativa SD” in defense of corruption Is anti-corruption or anti-slogan the “political tribune” of DSP. In yesterday's issue of “Alternativa SD”, its deputy head Andrer i [?] e gl. published a rather unusual commentary in a column of the newspaper “Zëri i Popullit”, on the analysis made regarding investigations carried out on an Agricultural or Communal Enterprise. Among other things, he calls it communism and anti-information directed against his party. In essence, the content of this defending article makes clear the fact that their newspaper and its chairman are trying to smear state institutions that have launched investigations into corruption. The above article brings no evidence, only political declarations. He accuses the prosecutor's office, the courts and other institutions of being used against the social-democratic opposition. But on the other hand, he gives no argument to refute the concrete issues. The chairman of the social-democratic party apparently has an interest in presenting every economic investigation as a political campaign against him. This way of doing opposition does not serve democracy nor the fight against corruption. The article ends with harsh political tones, describing the opponents as “enemies” and “old heirs”. Where is the dollar and fiuar from smuggling?

From the file of “firi” for Ismailare the Italian law in the ships of Kavaja Where is the dollar and fiuar from smuggling? From the file of “firi” for Ismailare the Italian law in the ships of Kavaja Torturabanden of U.E. Busalo [?] (“If you once drive a man out of necessity, he never leaves you again” [?]) A part of the goods that enter the country through illegal channels is linked to maritime smuggling networks. These networks use small boats and various landing points, especially along the coast. The financial gains from this activity are large and are often not traced by state structures. This creates fertile ground for corruption and cooperation with various criminal elements. If immediate measures are not taken, illegal trade will continue to damage the economy and undermine the authority of the state.

About cigarette smuggling

Cigarette smuggling, which until 1989, when the borders were opened, was not known, has been increasing day by day. It has appeared in many different forms, starting with foreign tourists, who could legally enter the country with cigarettes for personal consumption, and up to professional smugglers who organize entire sales networks. In some cases smuggling has been linked to tax evasion and failure to declare goods at customs. According to various sources, part of the cigarettes enter the market without paying the proper taxes. In Western countries, bringing in goods without declaration constitutes a criminal offense. This should also apply to Albania. Customs and police authorities should take stronger measures to prevent the entry of smuggled goods and to punish the organizers of these activities.
