THE MUKJE ASSEMBLY WAS THE ASSEMBLY OF FREEDOM AND DEMOCRACY

Message from the President of the Republic on its 50th anniversary Protect it, guard Mukje fanatically Areas of Zogajn, Can we? Mukje? [?] On 4 August, in the place called Fusha e Zogajve, near the village of Mukje, in that historic place where 50 years earlier one of the most important political and military events of the National Liberation War took place, the Mukje Assembly, its 50th anniversary was commemorated yesterday with a grand ceremony. To begin with, the speakers’ platform was greeted by Mr. Hysen Sharra, chairman of the Cudhini municipality, who among other things said: “This day is marked in history because for the first time the foundations were laid for the unity of Albanians, without political or regional differences, in the supreme interests of the Fatherland.” Then, on behalf of the Presidency, a representative read the message of the President of the Republic. It said that Mukje is a symbol of the effort for national unity, for democracy, and for ethnic Albania. The event was attended by representatives of local government, political parties, associations of former political prisoners, families of martyrs, and residents of the area. In his message, the President of the Republic stated that Mukje remains one of the brightest pages of our national history and that its ideals must never be forgotten. He called on Albanians to preserve fanatically the spirit of Mukje, the spirit of freedom, reconciliation, and democracy. At the end, wreaths and flowers were laid near the memorial site and a minute of silence was observed in honor of the fallen. This commemoration was held within the framework of the activities for the 50th anniversary of the Mukje Assembly.

TRUE SOCIALISTS DISTANCE THEMSELVES FROM THE DISGRACED LEADERS OF THE PS

The PS branches of Pogradec and Devoll are called, according to our wise words in the opposition. Has democracy come to flourish here with those words? Should the citizen rise up against politics? Should the biggest eagle of hate speech be made? No. One must walk the true paths of democracy, and politics must not be conducted with spite and slander. In this spirit, some honest socialists state that they cannot identify with some of the compromised leaders of the PS, whose actions have seriously damaged the image of the opposition. They call for a responsible, democratic, and constructive opposition that will defend the interests of citizens and not the personal interests of political clans. In their responses, they condemn harsh language, calls for destabilization, and any attempt to obstruct democratic reforms. True socialists, it is further said, must distance themselves from the discredited leaders and contribute to a civilized political climate. Ordinary citizens want peace, work, and order, not permanent political conflict. In this context, it is emphasized that the country’s future is tied to strengthening democratic institutions and respecting the law. Therefore, any attempt to turn politics into an instrument of blackmail and pressure is condemnable and unacceptable.

The PD does not free “PANIKËN”, the legal parties

Continuing the attack, “Zëri i Popullit” publishes the article “Another display of panic by the PD”, in which it accuses the Democratic Party of pressure on the opposition and of using the administration. According to the response, these accusations are unfounded and constitute a routine propaganda effort to create a climate of insecurity. The article argues against the positions of the PS and its organ, emphasizing that legal parties must act within the framework of the law and not through slander. It further argues that the real panic lies with those who do not accept the reality of democratic change. Continued on page 4

Is it worth sacrificing for Fatos Nano? IT IS A CRIME TO MAKE THE PS DURING THE CHANGE FOR HIM

A work, he should think about why he should burden the PS for him Is it worth sacrificing for Fatos Nano? IT IS A CRIME TO MAKE THE PS DURING THE CHANGE FOR HIM THE WORK, HE SHOULD THINK ABOUT WHY HE SHOULD BURDEN THE PS FOR HIM After the first reactions of P. Arbnori come out, Nano will know every citizen that is PS still a Stalinist party? Or is it a modern social-democratic party? The article argues that Fatos Nano is holding the PS hostage with his positions and with the attempt to turn it into a personal shield. The author asks whether it is worth it for an entire party to sacrifice its energies for the political fate of an individual. It further states that honest socialists must reflect and not allow the party to be used for personal purposes. The debate is presented as a test for the future of the PS and for its break with the Stalinist past. In the end, it is emphasized that responsibility is individual and not collective.
