There are few political forces that have achieved what the Democratic Party has done in 17 months
5 Nano should Ali have the right, as they rightly say that the IMF continues the rule of the President of the Republic, Mr. Sali Berisha, they developed and the conversation
Albania is on the threshold of a historic change. Only a few months ago our country was faced with the danger of complete economic and institutional collapse, whereas today the foundations of a new democratic life are being laid. This is the merit of the forces that took upon themselves the heavy burden of reforms and that, despite the difficulties, did not retreat before obstacles.
It has not been easy to rebuild the state, to restore order in public finances, to bring hope back to citizens and to open the country to the world. But the results are visible: pluralism has become a reality, free speech is gaining ground, while the economy is gradually emerging from the inherited deadlock. There are few political forces that in such a short time have accomplished as much as the Democratic Party in 17 months.
These achievements would not have been possible without the support of the citizens, their sacrifices, and the clear vision of the political leadership. The President of the Republic, Mr. Sali Berisha, has played an important role in steering the country toward stable institutions and closer ties with the West.
Naturally, political opponents try to downplay every success and spread doubts about the sustainability of reforms. But time has shown that the chosen path is the right one and that turning back would be a catastrophe for the country. Therefore, more than ever today, responsibility, unity, and determination are required to carry the democratic process through to the end.
