ALBANIA IS ACCEPTED AS AN ASSOCIATE MEMBER IN THE NORTH ATLANTIC ASSEMBLY
A great victory for the DEMOCRATIC PARTY, the GOVERNMENT and all democratic forces.
A resounding message in support of Albania and its policy
Another major success for Albania on its path toward integration into the democratic world
On 23 May 1993, the Albanian Parliament was unanimously admitted to the North Atlantic Assembly. This parliament now has associate member status. Albania’s admission to the North Atlantic Parliament expresses the new democratic spirit of Albania, its aspiration and determination to integrate into Euro-Atlantic structures. This is a success for the government of the Democratic Party and for all Albanian democratic forces. The statement by President Sali Berisha and the governing majority on Albania’s Euro-Atlantic orientation thus finds new support in Western forums. Albania’s admission to this assembly is regarded as an important political step on the road to bringing our country closer to the institutions of the West.

The lies in "ZP" cannot cover up the shameful failure in Dibra
Interview
WITH COMRADE FATOS NANO IN DIBRA
Question:- Is the rally not being discussed now?
Answer:- It was a successful meeting.
Question:- Why were you angered when they exposed it?
Answer:- It was the dignified representation of the people of Dibra, in the absence of the pseudo-democratic Republic.
Question:- Where did you see that, in the refutation, the number of participants is taken into account; how do you explain that?
Answer:- I do not know how you assess the number, but I note the quality of the people of Dibra, which is more valuable than the government’s failure.

Testimonies of JETERI[?] NANO[S][?] IN BULQIZË
For the second time, the uncle spoke about his son Fatos’s "business" (in the PS)
When he did not throw off the coat[?] "Long live the Party" (in the PS), in my bitter mind I thought that we would gather 2,000 people for the strike and not 2,000 in total. They really were coming from Liria, but the ranks were not the same as the previous ones. Moreover, it did not seem to me that all the living force of Bulqizë had come. In the chrome mine, for example, some had come under coercion and some for payment. It was noted that around 400 miners were absent. Then everyone understood that in Dibra only support for Fatos had remained alive. When we left Bulqizë, my friends said that this outing was not like the previous ones either.

The boycott of the "DEMOCRACY" PRINTING HOUSE continues
On 20 May 1993, the following newspapers:
"Večerov"
"Republika"
"Rilindja Demokratike"
"Bota e Re"
"Dita Informacion"
"Tirana"
For many days, the boycott of spiritual freedom for the opposition press continued. The chief editors gathered and said that the boycott is still continuing today, because the government has not yet made a final decision on the printing issue. Meanwhile the printing-house services for the opposition newspapers continue to be blocked. In the meantime, some of the newspapers are looking for other publishing possibilities.

Another provocation quietly develops, showing the Serbs’ impatience to expand the conflict in the South
Statement from the Ministry of Foreign Affairs
A very serious incident has occurred in the Kallkan[?] region between the Macedonian villages of Sopotske[?] in Kosovo, inhabited also by Albanians and Macedonians, and Sopotske[?], it is stated in a declaration of the Ministry of Foreign Affairs, which among other things says: "The criminal and deliberate action in Sopot in Kosovo, or the so-called cleansing of this region of Albanians, also constitutes new proof of hegemonic aims. The property and lives of Albanians in the region are in danger. The Albanian institutions are asking for the intervention of international organizations for the protection of the Albanian population and the stopping of these provocative acts."
