Along with the high-level strike and deliberate passivity, the aid sent from the farthest corners of the country has strengthened in these days the people's sense of revolt against injustice and support for the democratic government. In these difficult days we will never forget all those who stood by us with help and support. They will remain unforgettable and will serve as an impetus for us to successfully overcome this difficult period. -For the years 1990-92 the crime rate of foreigners and Albanians was under 1, exceeding 1.1-1.4% of total crime- All these claims have been made, distributed and published, sometimes with nuances or even with the notes of a political orientation. These statements have led some certain circles to be exploited by the irredentist minority for dishonorable purposes. Their essence is that Albanian emigrants pose a danger, a challenge to Greek society, and that, in the name of protecting public order and peace, a series of harsh measures must be taken. In these claims, even some criminal incidents provoked by a migrant seem to find ground, but this cannot be generalized. The official statistics of the Greek state refute this image. According to published data for the years 1990-1992, crime by foreigners in Greece accounts for a very limited percentage in relation to overall crime, and that of Albanians within this figure is even smaller. If certain propaganda presents Albanian emigrants as a source of insecurity, this is not supported by real data but by other political and propaganda objectives.

Such monetary aid, amounting to 97 thousand lek, was raised by the miners’ association, and the miners themselves are no more than the actors behind this aid, paid out of their own pockets. According to other data, an amount of 300 thousand lek was initially distributed by the union. This amount was used for the poorest miners’ families. Later, for other needs, funds were spent that did not come from Hajdin Sejdia’s pocket, but from the aid received and contributions from others. In Mr. Sejdia’s statement there are also other claims about aid and personal sacrifices, which, according to this article, are unfounded.
