The Socialist Party on the Path of the Street
Populist ideologues are increasingly filling the PS with old demagogic doctrines, such as the school of socialism, and are pushing it toward an anarchist movement.
This led Fatos Nano to declare loudly that social peace is under threat and that a broad, powerful popular movement must be created to stop economic ruin and political degradation. To assert that public opinion is on their side, the PS ideologues invented anonymous letters from workers and trade unionists in Tirana and the farmers' union of Lushnja.
Regardless of where these fabrications came from, these opinions fit very well with the now-established doctrine of anarchist socialism. Fatos Nano calls for a popular movement against this government, while the Socialists of Korçë have called for a general strike and sabotage of the country's economic life. These actions currently being taken by PS leaders are irresponsible and adventurous.
The PS goes beyond every limit, especially when it calls for an uprising against a government elected by free vote. These positions have nothing to do with normal opposition, but with an extreme course aimed at destabilizing the country.
If today some PS leaders are turning this party into an instigator of street unrest, this is also linked to the deep identity crisis it is going through. They are trying to survive politically through social tension rather than through an alternative.
The Socialist Party is trying to turn the economic difficulties of the transition into political capital, inflaming dissatisfaction and avoiding responsibility for the past. This is a dangerous path for Albanian democracy.[?]

Invitation from the Ministry of Industry, Mineral Resources and Energy
WHERE DID WE BRING THE STATE FROM? ARE WE REALLY ON THE RIGHT PATH?
Industrial and economic organizations from other countries (mainly Italian) have begun to contact major Albanian industrial firms, proposing forms of cooperation in the trading of raw materials and semi-finished products, with the aim of implementing the outlines of joint investments, etc.
In a situation where Albanian industry has lost 80 percent of its production capacity, for certain branches, since around 1989, its most acute problems are the lack of liquidity and of market.
It is precisely on this basis that foreign interest can be seen as an opportunity to encourage and save a significant part of this industry. This is evident in the operational actions of foreign companies, but in many cases there is a lack of clarity of purpose and long-term seriousness.
Concrete proposals have already been noted for the creation of joint companies for building materials, wood processing, energy production, mineral extraction and processing, etc. Under the current conditions, every serious project that brings capital, technology and a market is welcome.
However, the hasty sale of state assets and agreements that do not guarantee long-term national interests must be avoided. Industry and energy are strategic sectors and require a measured development policy.[?]
