PD WILL NOT ENTER THE COUNCIL OF EUROPE, BUT ALBANIA WILL... It can be understood that the ultimate goal of the Council of Europe adviser’s slander is to present the chairman of the PDSH, Sali Berisha, as the most corrupt person in Albania. Thus, even if the truth cannot be erased by lies, the PDSH can be portrayed as a political force unworthy of the country. By alluding to a governing order that does not recognize the laws, democracy and a market economy, it is understood that Albania’s admission to the Council of Europe is also intended to be delayed. Such logic, with an openly political orientation, goes so far as to try to identify the “perpetrators” of crime without paying any attention to the results of the investigations and the trial. It even accuses the PD and its government of turning Albania into a police state and Albania into the most corrupt country in Europe. If we refer to a few facts, the slander becomes even clearer. First, this article aims, through denigrating Albania, to prevent its entry into European institutions. Second, it tries to compromise the Albanian government and the President of the Republic. Third, by attacking the head of state, it encourages the political destabilization of the country. (To be continued on page 6)
