Visit of the President of Montenegro
Mr. Momir Bulatović in Albania
Yesterday at around 9 o’clock, the President of Montenegro, Mr. Momir Bulatović, accompanied by a high-level delegation, arrived in Tirana for a one-day visit to Albania. Upon arrival at Rinas airport, he was received by the President of the Republic, Mr. Sali Berisha, and other members of the government cabinet. In a brief conversation held at the airport, President Berisha and President Bulatović expressed their desire and determination to further expand relations between their two countries. In his remarks, President Berisha emphasized that this visit "comes at a very delicate and important moment for relations between our two countries and for peace in the region. It is in the interest of both our countries, of the region and beyond, to further expand bilateral relations and to ensure peace and stability in the region."
For his part, the President of Montenegro, Mr. Bulatović, said that this visit to Albania gave him the opportunity to discuss bilateral relations and several important regional issues with President Berisha. Mr. Momir Bulatović made it known that at the center of his discussions in Albania would be the issue of Kosovo and the taking of joint measures so that the tragic events in Bosnia would not be repeated. Meanwhile, President Berisha handed his counterpart a message from President Rugova for President Bulatović.
This meeting and the talks held during yesterday with the Albanian President and other personalities of the Albanian government were assessed by both sides as very important for both countries as well as for peace in the region.
In addition to the development of bilateral relations between the two countries, the talks between Presidents Berisha and Bulatović give a special place to the issue of reconciliation in the former Yugoslavia, through which Albania has persistently insisted on a peaceful solution and on the implementation of the international embargo against Serbia, toward which Montenegro until now has shown less commitment. Another issue addressed in the talks concerns relations between Albania and Montenegro in terms of emigration, the free movement of people, as well as possible movements of capital to encourage business. Of interest was, and especially was discussed, the rights of Albanians in Montenegro and of Macedonians in Albania.
President Berisha, at the joint press conference, when asked by journalists what more could be done in the former Yugoslavia, said that the resolution of the conflict in the areas of the former federation must go through the establishment of a lasting peace and respect for the rights of peoples. At the meeting with journalists it was pointed out that Albania’s positions on the Kosovo issue have been consistent and that our country has always called for a political solution in accordance with international norms.
President Bulatović said that Montenegro does not wish to be part of any military adventure and that it is interested in good neighborly relations with Albania. He also underlined that peace and stability in the Balkans are in everyone’s interest.

THE PSH WILL NEVER PLACE PARTY INTERESTS ABOVE NATIONAL ONES
The Democratic Party of Albania announced yesterday that it has prepared a document entitled "Platform for inter-party cooperation and dialogue on the national question". According to this document, the PD addresses the Albanian political parties with an appeal to develop political cooperation in order to achieve a common national platform in defense of Albanian interests.
In a response of its own, the Socialist Party of Albania judges that this initiative may serve broader political communication, but emphasizes that national interests must not be used for narrow party calculations. The PSH declares that it has been and remains ready for dialogue on national issues, but not in propaganda or one-sided forms.
According to the Socialists, the crisis in the former Yugoslavia, the Kosovo issue and the rights of Albanians in the region require a measured, responsible and institutional stance. In this framework, the PSH states that political forces should seek broad national consensus and avoid using national topics for short-term gains.
The Socialist Party emphasizes that it will support any serious initiative aimed at protecting the interests of Albanians, while at the same time preserving its own political and programmatic independence.

BERISHA'S STATEMENT
Speaking to journalists after the talks had ended, President Berisha made a statement in which he stressed the importance of the visit of the President of Montenegro and the need to expand relations between the two countries. He said that Albania supports a peaceful solution to the conflicts in the former Yugoslavia and is against any form of violence and ethnic cleansing.
The President also underlined that stability in the region is of special importance and that Albania supports the rights of Albanians wherever they live. The statement also stressed the need for economic cooperation, for facilitating the movement of people and trade exchanges with Montenegro.
Berisha said that the talks also discussed Kosovo and that a solution must be sought through political dialogue and respect for international standards.

Statement by Bulatović
The President of Montenegro, Mr. Momir Bulatović, in his statement to journalists praised the reception in Tirana and described the meeting with President Berisha as useful and important. He said that both sides are interested in normal and friendly relations and in preserving peace in the region.
Bulatović said that the situation in the former Yugoslavia is extremely complicated and requires a political solution. He emphasized that Montenegro does not want an escalation of the conflict and that it supports any initiative aimed at avoiding wars and protecting civilian populations.
In his remarks he also mentioned Kosovo, saying that tensions must be avoided and that forms of political communication must be found. He added that relations with Albania could help create a better climate of cooperation in the Balkans.

A little history of film titles
Cinema anecdotes are numerous. Various adventures have accompanied film production over the years, and not infrequently their titles as well. One of the best-known cases concerns the film "Miracle on 34th Street", which in an earlier version had been presented with another title. Likewise, in 1939, "Gone with the Wind" had a long history of title selection.
Often, according to film column authors, the title of a film affects its public success. There have been cases in which producers changed names at the last minute for market or censorship reasons. Even in American and European cinema, debates over titles have not been lacking, especially when they are linked to translation or international distribution.
This article presents several examples of these cases and reminds us that behind a successful title there is often a story of its own.

THE FUTURE OF THE NATION DEPENDS ON TEACHERS
Interview with Mr. Xhodi Cami, director of the Shkodër education directorate, on the eve of the start of the new school year.
Only two days separate us from the beginning of the 1993-94 school year. How have the measures for this event been taken in the district of Shkodër? Have the material needs, teachers and textbooks been met? What are the main problems?
From talks with education leaders in Shkodër, it emerges that efforts have been made to face the many difficulties. Among the most acute problems remain the shortage of certain textbooks, the need for repairs in some school buildings and the completion of teaching staff in the more remote areas. The education directorate says that work is under way to resolve these problems as quickly as possible so that the teaching process can begin normally.
Director Xhodi Cami stresses that the success of the school is linked not only to infrastructure, but especially to the figure of the teacher. "The future of the nation depends on teachers," he says, underlining the high mission of the educator in the education of the younger generation.

THE "KORÇA" ENSEMBLE IN TIRANA!..
A few days ago, a concert by the "Korça" Ensemble was held in the premises of the National Theatre (the old building). For its artistic performance and the response it received from the audience, the concert was well received. The repertoire included songs and dances from the Korça region as well as pieces arranged from folk motifs.
According to the organizers, the event aims to bring the artistic values of the regions closer to the capital’s audience and enrich Tirana’s cultural life. The concert was attended by art lovers and various creators.
