RUSSIAN PRESIDENT SETS THE PRESIDENTIAL ELECTIONS FOR 12 JUNE 1994
Moscow, 23 September. Boris N. Yeltsin officially announced on Thursday the postponement of the parliamentary elections until 12 December 1993 and of the presidential elections to mid-June 1994.
He made the postponement of the elections known in a second decree, issued two days after he dissolved parliament and took full authority into his own hands.
The move sparked demonstrations by the president’s opponents, who argued that it was unconstitutional and denounced it as a step toward dictatorship.
Representatives in Moscow said late Thursday that the dissolved parliament, around 7 p.m. local time, had planned to meet to create an alternative government in its building, which is surrounded and guarded by the police.
Valerijan Viktorov, spokesman for the state of emergency, said he issued orders for the deployment of the available forces and warned that any attempt to enter the building is a violation of the state of emergency. TASS.
The far left in the vortex of scandals
A costly cost against attacking from anonymity
After the hopeful Com. F. Alia, the PPSH Central leadership still issued calls for the creation of the new Party. In the turmoil after the PPSH coup and the fall of the government, many of the fallen sought shelter in order to spring into action.
First they tried to reappear under the name of the Front. This happened in January 1992 and then again in September. But the initiative found little support and soon failed. Later an attempt was made under the name of War Veterans. Again without result. Left without a homeland and against the background of failed attempts, the far left invented the “Enver Volunteers Association,” which became a propaganda instrument against democratic reforms.
In their latest petition, published in the left-wing press, they demand the return of Fatos’s book and attack the government, parliament, and the judiciary. This campaign aims to cover up the successive scandals involving leaders and supporters of the PS.
On the other hand, the defence of corruption and the relativization of political responsibilities appears as a major act of public shame. The public is asked to forget who blocked the reforms and who profited from the inherited chaos.

Kadare + Qose + in Albania - a national asset
Take another look at Fina’s article, dated 22/09/1993, entitled “Kadare+Qose+in Albania-sherb…”
Kujtim Çashku
In his lifetime, as an author he has been made notable by the fine critical study of the construction of the dialectic of the artist of narration and poetry, with characters that represent the deepest complexities of our reality. At the same time, he has risen above provincialism and become part of universal culture.
Part of the recent debate around Kadare and Qose has taken on unnecessarily political and personal tones. This is harmful to Albanian culture. Both are a national asset and should be treated as such.
It is not necessary to fall into the trap of slander or labeling, but to maintain the level of the debate. Our nation needs its most distinguished figures and respect for them.
