Hundreds of thousands of people who have not been in Albania for two years and who have gone to Greece, Italy and other countries appear as signatories of the petition for the release of Fatos Nano. GJANAN VOLITIË[?] The wise saying "it is possible that they may perhaps claim to take it upon themselves later, whereas their real intentions remain completely opposite to their words" was confirmed by the fulfillment of this hot message, as it seems, this summer too, the end of which marked a new stage in the political unmasking of the "renovated" PSSH and in the moral and political unmasking of its own leader. All its actions this summer were characterized by unrestrained denigration of the democrats and beyond, of the new Albanian politics, by gestures bordering on hooliganism, etc., which have powerfully contributed to exposing its real intentions. Thus, the occupation of the square under the pretext of the "moral victory" won in the elections of 21 March last year, despite propaganda exploitation by all means, failed miserably and was proven before public opinion to be a contrived farce ordered from above by a party in the throes of death. Their threatening and insulting statements against members of the legitimate government, as well as the boycott of Parliament by their supposed top elected representatives, created the impression among the public that this party was by no means distinguished by ideas, programs and platforms, but only by bluffs, deceptions, slander and fabrications. Has this finally come out? Of course, because this was best demonstrated when some activists or militants, used like a blind stick, gathered in the square and decided to attempt the burning of parliament as well. (See page 2)

It has neither time, nor number, nor spirit. According to all the data, the petition for Fatos's release, launched like a black cloud by the veterans of Albanian social-communism to cover his new misdeeds, looks more like an undeclared inventory of the Enverist rear guard than an expression of free will. It contains hundreds of thousands of names of people who for years have been in Greece, Italy and elsewhere, people who are no longer in Albania, but who, according to its organizers, have supposedly put their signatures on this petition. This crude deception has only one purpose: to artificially create the impression of popular support for Fatos Nano and to fuel a new campaign of political pressure. In reality, this is a desperate attempt to revive the old mechanisms of mass manipulation, with the former lists of Enver's volunteers, now taken from the archives of the "renovated" PPSH.
