Who brought ARSID, PD or PF?

• in trying to save the bloc, the Vargmal Segment, “Përpjekja”, “PDK”, “PD e Gjetshit”, “PZ”, “Pajtesa”, and Nano’s group. Amid the innumerable series of fabricated lies, slander, and malicious inventions that the Socialist Party and its press have put together these days against the PD, democracy, and pluralism in Albania, the Albanian reader is now becoming familiar with the plan of the red-and-black coalition to destabilize the country. In a country with normal conditions of press freedom and political debate, certain anti-PD centers, disguised in various ways but closely tied to the communist bloc mentality, are unleashing a fierce campaign of denigration against the Democratic Party. In the pages of newspapers and on public platforms, they appear as “new forces,” but in essence they are direct heirs of the bloc-minded spirit. In this context, “Përpjekja”, “PDK”, “PD e Gjetshit”, “PZ”, “Pajtesa” and Nano’s grouping are mentioned, which, according to the article, while wanting to save the bloc, are ultimately serving the same purpose: weakening the PD and restoring political obsolescence. The article continues in polemical tones against the authors and inspirers of this movement, describing them as the architects of a well-prepared “scenario” for splitting the anti-communist opposition and creating confusion among the public. According to the text, the final goal is the rehabilitation of figures and structures that recent history has condemned. (Continues on page 6)

An intellectual PD terrifies ZP

Reply Favoring the line and the bitterness of left-wing extremism In its Friday article, the newspaper “ZP” dealt extensively with the latest meeting of the National Council of the Democratic Party. Instead of informing objectively, it has returned to the old language of slander and political insinuation. According to the author, “ZP” presents the internal debate within the PD forums in a distorted way, trying to create the impression that this party is divided and has no alternative. In reality, the text says, the discussions in the National Council demonstrated political maturity, freedom of thought, and the will for deep reforms. The article argues with the way the left close to “ZP” tries to discredit the intellectuals who have drawn closer to the PD. Precisely a PD with an intellectual dimension and reformist capacity is presented as the reason why “ZP” reacts nervously. In the end, the author calls on readers not to fall prey to propagandistic distortions and to judge on the basis of facts. (Continues on page 4)

Is Mr. Kalakula’s position block-minded and sincere?

In the name of reform, it seems, Mr. Kalakula has launched a public offensive against several well-known figures of the PD, trying to portray them as an obstacle to the party’s internal democratization. But according to this article, this approach is neither impartial nor sincere. The author notes that Mr. Kalakula’s criticisms are not aimed at constructive debate, but at creating an atmosphere of distrust toward the elected structures and the figures who have borne the main burden of the opposition in the most difficult years. The article raises the question of whether his stance is actually a reformist position or an attempt to block processes while dressing them up in the language of renewal. In this sense, the author calls for greater coherence, responsibility, and political sincerity. (Continues on page 4)
