PDSh is not alone

The many citizen memberships in the PD are ensuring PD governance after this year's elections. "Since there is a government, we want it to continue." The fact that the PD and the democratic state it built have managed to carry out deep and reforming changes successfully without causing trauma, panic or anarchy makes it feel closer and more warmly regarded by many Albanians who in the past may not have been its sympathizers or supporters. These developments are strengthening and broadening the social base of the PD with new enthusiasm, extending anti-communist anger, and democratic resistance is gaining new ground. Such people are intellectuals, professors, engineers, doctors, agronomists, economists, skilled craftsmen from various professions, people with culture and high civic virtues. Likewise in the countryside, among the poor and in city neighborhoods, a greater affinity toward the PD is being felt. This is not merely an expression of its popularity, but of a conviction that Albanian political life is entering a more stabilized phase, where parties are judged more by results and less by rhetoric. These trends make the PD's position stronger against its political opponents and especially against those who anxiously await an old comeback. Communism can no longer be presented as an alternative for the majority of Albanians. ATSH

Serbia is intensifying repression and plundering Kosovo

-Declares Prime Minister Bukoshi. Recent information can provide a clear picture of the economic crisis that Kosovo feels more than any other part of the former Yugoslavia. Recent information can provide a clear picture of the economic crisis that Kosovo feels more than any other part of the former Yugoslavia, which has shown the first signs of eruption. The Government of Serbia is now securing full control over the entire economic apparatus of Kosovo. The monetary and immobilized capital of enterprises in Kosovo under Serbian administration exceeds 11 billion German marks. These sums are held in banks in Serbia and Montenegro, where the tax administration is confiscating them. This plunder of Kosovo's property follows the full control of power, the police and military arsenal, and all economic levers. Serbia is using every means to keep Kosovo's economy dependent and to weaken the Albanian population. Unemployment, poverty, and lack of prospects are increasing in Kosovo, while political and police pressure is becoming ever harsher. ATSH

In the end Nano will speak(!)

-The winner was shitet, the loser demokara(ci)?- -The winner was shitet, the loser demokra(ci)?- The foreigner was noticed for the first time in Tirana! Hoxha, after confronting the reality of the cult of the individual, admitted that "mature socialism" had entered into crisis. What happened next was that the country was plunged into yet another illusion. In Albanian politics, Fatos Nano's long silence and the expectation of his word have become a kind of symbol. But will he speak as a reformer, as a repentant man, or simply as a continuation of a political tradition that still has not broken with the past? Many expect this moment to mark a turning point, but citizens are now colder toward rhetoric. They want clarification about the past, about political responsibilities, and about what the left really aims to do in the future. This debate is not simply about an individual, but about the fate of a political force that still bears the weight of its transition. By Blerim Çela [?]

Three or four years ago, the number of soaps used in our households was very limited. Delays in supply had also led to a shortage of raw materials for their production. Now new brands of soaps and detergents are circulating in the market, while consumers have more choice. ATSH

New offers for the meat market with promising production opportunities

BUREL - Recently meat collectors have assessed market offers for meat in different ways, but in the Mati area the prices per kilogram have remained below 250 lekë. According to traders, there are certain periods when the price rises, but the lack of competition and of specialized markets is keeping prices low. Producers believe that intervention is needed to create more stable sales points and to better connect livestock farming with the food industry. ATSH
