We Albanians, rooted for a long time in isolation, cannot fail to feel the need for a new climate. The lack of tolerance, dialogue and argument destroys the very foundations of democracy. Freedom of thought requires responsibility. Democracy is not chaos, nor insults, nor a market of petty interests. It is an order built on precise rules and on respect for the other. Democracy is a dictionary of colors over a right score. The freer the colors are, the more necessary the score is. Only in this way does the art of civic coexistence gain meaning. If we understand democracy only as the freedom to say everything against everyone, without norms and without moderation, we will lose its meaning. Freedom must be linked to reason, to culture, to citizenship. The opposite leads to sliding into anarchy or into a new form of imposition. In this sense, the passage from a vague state of thought to a more mature democratic climate cannot come without effort. It begins with the risking [?] of the mind and with overcoming the old fear. The investigations have focused on a document called “The Gimnaces Plan”, dated 7 June 1373, which is suspected to be a stolen object.
