ON TRIAL FOR GENOCIDE
The criminal case against Ramiz Alia and senior officials of the former communist government has been sent to court
Regarding this news in yesterday’s issue, we published a statement from the Prosecutor General’s Office. Meanwhile, today we are publishing in full the indictment brought against the accused.
This is one of the most important acts of Albanian justice, aimed at bringing to legal accountability those who ordered and carried out state repression against Albanian citizens. Today’s material mentions events and facts linked to the final period of the communist regime, including killings at the border, internments, imprisonments, and political violence.
