THE MARTYRS OF FREEDOM ARE THE CHILDREN AND PRIDE OF THE PEOPLE
Many of the fallen — victims of the national conscience, of R. Hoxha’s cruel hand — Today’s Socialist Party demagoguery about LANÇI and the martyrs is a great insult to the fallen, to freedom and to Albanian democracy
Many of the fallen — victims of the national conscience, of R. Hoxha’s cruel hand —
Today’s Socialist Party demagoguery about LANÇI and the martyrs is a great insult to the fallen,
freedom and Albanian democracy
We have not had enough, by being killed and we mourn Sefe,
what would raise you below like a fox or a fox
that even victory would scratch here and there, and
because he gave the spear of the son?
Why did the name of the dead also survive, and
was killed? Because no one, the destruction of memory
is nothing more than a condemned rise.
True Albanians, who fell under the old
regime, knew how precious freedom is,
how precious independence is, how precious
human dignity is. This page of national history
cannot be desecrated with empty slogans
and ceremonial rhetoric.
Vlorë, hanging from the first words: “Are
they trying to take our glory?” — a question that
comes in the name of sacrifice and truth.
In the camp of dictatorship, hundreds and thousands
of Albanians were shot, imprisoned, interned,
tortured, humiliated, simply because
they would not remain silent or submit.
1943 Mëhilli? continues in the name of
a manipulated memory and one built on
class hatred.
In their name, in the name of the martyrs of
freedom, one must speak without fear and without concessions.
They did not fall to raise a system
that kills human beings, but for Albania,
for freedom, for justice, for Europe.
The first victims of Albanian communism
were just as much national martyrs as
those who fell in the war against the occupier.
Denying them is a double injustice.
History must be separated from propaganda,
while respect for the fallen must be based
on truth. This is the moral test of
a free society.

AN APPEAL OF ALBANIAN INTELLECTUALS
addressed to the Secretary-General of the UN
Your Excellency, Mr. Butros Ghali
Secretary-General of the United Nations
The states of Yugoslavia, in the tracks of national
and religious hatred, are heading toward catastrophe.
Under the false excuse of “protecting the Serbs,”
the campaign of ethnic cleansing and mass
expulsions against non-Serb populations in Kosovo,
Bosnia, Croatia and other regions has been undertaken.
More than forty million people in the region
are endangered by policies of aggression and the
collapse of the international order.
We, Albanian intellectuals, call on you and the
bodies of the United Nations and the
international community to act without
delay to protect human rights,
to stop ethnic cleansing and to establish
just peace in the Balkans.
The sovereignty of peoples and their freedom
cannot be sacrificed before the logic of
force. Silence in the face of crimes is
complicity.
We ask you to take concrete and
effective measures.

ITALIAN JUSTICE IS TO REVOKE BENHUNO KRAKSI’S PASSPORT
The Sidoni? of the Milan prosecutor’s office, which is handling the case
against Krax, has asked the Italian Minister of Justice, Alfredo
Biondi, to block the right of movement and to revoke the passport of the Socialist
Bettino Craxi, who is watching from behind the glass the victory of the socialists
in Italy.
Questioned? last month in Rome and for the first time on the charge of
“political corruption,” during the period when his passport had been issued
at the end of February, in a statement in which he claimed to be in
Hammamet, declaring that he was there for health reasons.
According to Italian judges, the former Italian Socialist prime minister was trying
to evade justice. According to them, Craxi and his former Minister of
Health, De Lorenzo, took bribes in a major corruption case.
He has become a symbol of the crisis of the Italian political system.
In the continuation of the proceedings, the prosecution aims to restrict his movement
and bring him back before the judicial authorities in Italy.

MIBERKTI IN ALBANIA, PRINCIPAL CAUSE BEFORE THE CONSTITUTIONAL COURT OF AUSTRIA
The accusations made by the Chairman of the Austrian Socialist Group,
Peter Kostelka, and by the President of the Constitutional Court, turned out to
have been politically motivated. A report has emerged showing that the decision
of non-admission had no legal basis, but was aimed at hindering
official contacts with Albania.
She requested an explanation for a senseless and hasty decision. The issue sparked reactions
in diplomatic circles and in the Austrian media.
