EDITORIAL NOTE
The leaders of the Socialist Party disinform the public about the referendum
Leaders of the Socialist Party are using the occasion to push forward their devilish propaganda against the market economy. They declare that the referendum will be held despite the Constitutional Court chamber annulling certification of the initiative's result
Reuters reports and statements by several personalities of the Socialist Party and its organizations, from Mr. Gjinushi down to the organized groups beneath him, are intended to create the impression that holding the referendum is a settled matter. Under the guise of “respect for the will of the people,” or of “not going backward,” etc., the idea is being propagated that the government and the parliamentary majority are blocking the referendum, which creates the basis for new rebellions and political tensions.
The leaders of the Socialist Party, deliberately avoiding any explanation of a perfectly normal constitutional decision, are rushing to create the insinuation that a conspiracy lies behind the annulment of certification of the initiative. For this they have even set the date of the referendum, 20 March. It falls to us to state that, in circumstances where the initiative, as established by the chamber of the Constitutional Court, is not based on strict observance of constitutional provisions, the issue is not the date, but the legitimacy of the entire initiative.
We believe that state bodies should provide the Albanian public with concrete answers regarding the issues related to the reasons for the referendum not being carried out within the constitutional deadlines. These clarifications, accompanied by legal arguments, are essential in order to avoid misunderstandings and to stop the policy of disinformation being pursued by the Socialist Party.
The leaders of this party must abandon the language of ultimatums and political blackmail, because conflict cannot be resolved through pressure and declarations. If they truly respected the principles of the rule of law, they should have waited for the final decision of the Constitutional Court and not unilaterally announced the holding of the referendum.

Democracy does not mean tolerance of crime
Mark Gjin Prenga - Enver Hoxha imprisoned him, sent him to the priests of Romori's Bajk, and imprisoned him again
During this fight against crime, a number of well-known or irresponsible people have made hasty statements raising concerns about human rights. Meanwhile, reality shows that organized crime and violent elements are trying to challenge the democratic order.
The state cannot be weak in the face of criminal acts. Democracy does not mean allowing illegality; on the contrary, it requires the functioning of the law and the protection of honest citizens. The fight against crime is not political revenge, but a duty of institutions.
If society tolerates criminals only because they present themselves as victims of the past, then public trust is damaged and the rule of law is undermined. For this reason, every case must be investigated and judged on the basis of facts.

Despite this, the process continued and the ballot boxes were handed over according to the rules. We request that the competent authorities investigate the incident and punish those responsible.
