Joint press conference between the leader of Forza Italia and the PDSH
The arrival in Tirana of this party, Forza Italia, which governs the neighboring country, has brought one of the main titles of the active politics of that country into the circles of Tirana. For his part, the PDSH representative praised relations with the Italian party and said this meeting serves to expand contacts with conservative and liberal forces in Europe.

Sali Berisha, at the meeting with Dardan Kola[n?] and respected representatives of Transit, said they are strong supporters of democratization in the country. Albania, with the parameters of this force in the agreement and Euro-Atlantic standards, and also moving without leaning toward Western civilization. He again spoke about the superiority of the opposition in supporting, and about civic support for the priorities of democracy. According to him, support for the democratic climate, economic development, and institutional stability will continue. The President stressed that elements of other forces have been and are encouraging conflict and destabilization, but the country needs cooperation with the intellectual strata. He also spoke about education reform, the media, economic and social problems, as well as the role of the citizen in an open society.
The chairman of the PD assessed that intellectuals have always been a support for democracy and for the Democratic Party. He stated that a broader opening of the party structures to the elite, universities, researchers, professionals, and creators is needed. "We need intellectual opinion, and we are open to it in the PD," he said.
He also emphasized that the party must know how to listen to differing opinions and create mechanisms so that those views are reflected in decision-making. According to him, a modern political force must be based not only on its organization, but also on cooperation with personalities from culture, science, and public life.
Forza Italia, so close to the PD

In his remarks, he noted that European right-wing forces share common interests in strengthening democracy, the rule of law, and the free market. According to him, communism has left severe consequences and post-communist countries need deep political and economic reforms.
The meeting also discussed relations between sister parties, cooperation at parliamentary level, and support for Albania's integration processes.

Zagreb.- The Albanian Prime Minister, Aleksandër Meksi, accompanied by the Minister of Foreign Affairs, Alfred Serreqi, and the Albanian minister, Aleksandër Meksi[?], held a meeting yesterday with Croatian Prime Minister Nikiça Valentiç.
