Summers The world of privatization, an opportunity to participate in privatization It is not a promise made to be fulfilled in the future, but a concrete reality that Albanians are getting to know today. Launched by decision of the Council of Ministers and in implementation of the government's program "For democracy and development", the process of mass privatization in Albania is now a reality tangible to every citizen. This is evidenced by the large number of people interested in the participation forms for privatization, and by the many questions being asked about this issue at post office counters. The application card for mass privatization, together with the "Privatization Voucher", are thus becoming part of a new vocabulary for the Albanian public at large. The government led by the Democratic Party has long made privatization part of its economic and social policy, focusing not only on transferring public property into private hands, but also on distributing property rights as broadly as possible among citizens. Not by chance, mass privatization is seen as one of the most important instruments for creating a broad stratum of new owners. The line of economic and institutional reforms undertaken in recent years has also been praised by high-ranking international figures. Lawrence H. Summers, Undersecretary of the Treasury of the United States, ranks Albania among the most successful countries in economic transformation. This assessment is a strong encouragement for continuing reforms and strengthening market processes. It remains important for the public to be properly, clearly, and promptly informed about how to fill out the forms, the deadlines, and the rights arising from participation in this process. Mass privatization is not merely an administrative procedure, but an important link in the country's overall economic reform.

This process requires accurate information, clear procedures, and legal guarantees. For this reason, the relevant structures have been engaged in clarifying matters for citizens, preventing misunderstandings, and building trust in a reform seen as strategically important for the country.
