Lord Frinsberg again denounces Dokle’s fabrications in the KE Political Committee
Strasbourg
At yesterday’s meeting of the Political Committee of the Council of Europe, a member of this committee, the British Conservative MP Lord Frinsberg, made several assessments regarding developments and the situation in Albania. Lord Frinsberg is a very well-known figure in the field of British medicine. He has twice served as a minister in M. Thatcher’s government and currently advises the Kensington Polyclinic, which is located near the British Parliament and is frequented by select members of that parliament and senior British government officials.
In his speech Lord Frinsberg spoke about the destabilizing efforts of communist figures against the reforms of the Berisha government, a government which, according to him, is making noticeable progress in the process of democratizing Albania. Lord Frinsberg also exposed the slanders of the member of the former foreign affairs committee of the Albanian parliament, Namik Dokle, about which he had previously spoken in the European Parliament, and now, faced with clear facts, Dokle is hiding his head. Lord Frinsberg said that Dokle is trying to manipulate the situation in Albania and sabotage the relations of the Albanian government with the Council of Europe.
He said that our country is carrying out difficult but important reforms, and that the old communist opposition is trying to present them in a distorted way. According to him, Albania deserves support for its democratic progress and not politically motivated obstacles.
