What or ... not even a banana republic
ZYQARI HATA
Instead of stopping smuggling, we are quarreling over bananas. This is the paradox of our time. Imported goods are appearing in warehouses and markets, while institutions react with delay. Many people talk about a “banana republic,” but the problem is not the bananas; the problem is the weak state, the lack of control, and clientelism. If we allow the market to be dominated by narrow interests, the consumer and the economy will be harmed. Therefore, order, rules, and public responsibility are needed.
