Tomor Alizoti, MP and representative of the PDSH in the delegation currently in Italy, informed Mr. Silvio Berlusconi that the Socialist Party is trying to present right-wing political forces as left-wing ones. The PDSH statement addressed to Mr. Silvio Berlusconi reiterates the fact that the right is for progress, for reform and freedom, and that it is closer to European values than the neo-communist alternatives being presented in Albania. Mr. Berlusconi valued the relations between our two political forces and expressed confidence that cooperation will continue in the future.

Brozi - “Kalizimi” and Vroni “Nano File” Foreign media are closely and attentively following the entire process of the “Nano case” and are giving it broad coverage. “Il Manifesto” gave the Nano trial wide coverage, describing it as a “farce”. Vuelo de Portok? took a position against it. In the newspaper “Zëri i Popullit”, in a special article dealing with the Nano case, its editor-in-chief speaks in clear terms against the court's decision. According to him, “Nano's trial is an unacceptable political act”. In a broad analysis, “Koha Jonë” writes that this process is being exploited politically and that the figure of Fatos Nano is being used for propaganda purposes. Further on, today's press also brings other reactions regarding the court's latest decisions and the positions being taken by the political parties.

In his speech, the ambassador praised the friendly relations between the two countries and expressed the desire to intensify cooperation in various fields. External mechanisms are dividing and fragmenting the capital. Apart from the Tirana district, Prime Minister Meksi said, Albania has no metropolis. The situation and administrative developments in the country require serious review. Corruption, abuses and mismanagement are causing many residents to move toward Tirana, while entire areas of the country remain underdeveloped. The Prime Minister stressed the need for balanced regional policies and for more investment in other urban centers, including Durrës.
