And it could not have been otherwise, because people who have nothing to do with crime, or who did not enter politics on Ramiz Alia’s orders, could never follow Pëllumbi, Ruçi, Islami, or Gjinushi. And for this, they once again chose methods and paths that only they could use. They called for violence and bloodshed, for occupying squares and holding illegal rallies, and even went on hunger strike in premises that had not only a buffet but also a restaurant. After spending four days holed up in a buffet-restaurant, calling for the squares to be occupied, when they saw that no more than a few dozen people had answered their call, they also abandoned the strike, finally demonstrating that they were completely alone. And it could not have been otherwise. Albanians, with a high level of awareness and demonstrating the highest values of their civilization, had voted for democracy, not a return to the past; they had voted for freedom, property, free movement, and integration, not socialism and Marxism. The Red Front wants politicians whose breakaway it had rejected, not because in the past toward the final destination this Front’s fate had been written. Everything in its own time.
