All polling stations have taken the necessary measures for the smooth running of the process. Domestic and foreign observers are monitoring the elections. Law enforcement forces are on standby to guarantee peace and security.
Turnout is expected to be high and the result to confirm popular support for the country's reformist and western course.
The final result of 26 May is the same as the vote of the Albanian electorate
EUCD reactions to the elections in Albania
The disinformation that accompanied the initial reactions of the governments and leaders of the European Christian Democratic parties is clearly overturned. Above all, it destroyed the disinformation of EURO-OSCE, which the correspondent of “Voice of America” in Brussels, Ms. Dorit [?], was transmitting on the Albanian radio waves.
Secondly, the totality of the Christian Democratic political reactions and the results of the 26 May elections confirmed what we had emphasized from election night: the convincing victory of the PD and its allies. This victory, according to these assessments, represented a clear vote against neo-communism and in favor of democratic reforms.
In separate statements, leaders of Christian Democratic parties in Europe have stated that the electoral process, although with problems, reflected the will of the majority of Albanians. They described the propaganda pressure on Albania as unacceptable and called for respect for legitimate institutions.

The Austrian citizen rejected the request of PAJ- and PSD-
Albanians are making great sacrifices to meet the democratic standards of a European country and cannot accept unfair or politically motivated interpretations of the electoral process. Different sources have reported that there are two different OSCE reports on the elections in Albania, which has raised serious questions about the impartiality of some assessments.
According to these sources, one report more accurately reflects the real developments on the ground and citizen participation, while the other has been used for political pressure purposes. This has led to strong reactions in public opinion and in Albanian political circles.

The Constitutional Court rejected the request of PAD and PSD
In short, in constitutional interpretation no legal basis can be found to accept the claims raised by the opposition. According to yesterday's decision, the procedures followed are in accordance with the law and with the powers of the relevant institutions.
This decision is seen as a clear confirmation of the legality of the process and as a rejection of attempts to delegitimize institutions born of the vote. Representatives of the majority described this as a victory for the rule of law.
