This resolution states that the parliamentary elections in Albania were fair overall and that the parliament resulting from them is lawful. The resolution praises the results of the reforms and calls for their continuation. This means that although there were problems, the elections were generally considered acceptable and the parliament is legitimate. Were there problems during the elections? - There were observations, comments and concerns, but in the end the Assembly considered that the process should be viewed as a whole. What is expected now? - Aid to Albania will continue and democratic reforms must be strengthened. Page 3
