Tirana Municipality - new structure, capable people
The Mayor of Tirana, Albert Brojka, was sworn in
A process of “two faces” in the PS
The socialist press yesterday announced a purge of socialist members, so that, in the image and layout of the scheduled meetings in the PS of Krr. The meetings held in the organization were recorded with video cameras, which for the propaganda of the newspaper “Zëri i Popullit” meant that in the elections for the Tirana Municipality the socialist mayoral candidate Adrian Paci would win Tirana by 6 or 8 times. But other promises and other similar electoral ones of 23/3, and the electoral press chatter and words about victories have now been replaced at the grassroots level with demands for accountability, accusations, cries and curses from PS members. Tirana seems to be seeing now how their curses, in place of accountability, will avoid at least one social page and avoid the scandal with the “ridiculous” slogan “Better late than never”, which two weeks ago was being mentioned in the PS, since it turns out that the opposition allegedly had no “developed program” for Tirana. According to the newspaper “Zëri i Popullit”, we are dealing with a court farce, while according to the official police statement there was a protest. At the head of the accusations is a well-known man in the PS, Kujtim Hoxha, according to whom the Tirana district leadership has spread disinformation and has pursued a line of terror against the base, because, according to him, it faithfully implemented the order “to go into the elections of 23 March, by deceiving and saying certain victory”.
The new authorities of the Tirana Municipality, Albert Brojka in a speech, spoke about the new structuring of the Municipality according to a new logic. The Municipal Council has been open; he promised that it would include capable people with a clean profile, regardless of political beliefs. In this context he announced that the deputy mayors of the municipality have been elected as Fadil Xhelili and Edmond Tërshana, and that the main subordinate institutions will be led by specialists. On this occasion he underlined that the new administration will not be a party administration but an administration of service to citizens. Various representatives also took part in the swearing-in.
